I want this blog to be a reflection of my personality and the conversation it sparks: Gumbo Style. When one has a Gumbo Style conversation, they start with an end goal in mind (good conversation), but do not limit the possibilities. Throwing it all in the pot, means the boundaries of the conversation are limited only by the imagination of the parties engaged in said conversation.

Jeremiah 2:13
5 am this morning I was awaken by the words, "JEREMIAH 2:13." My first thoughts were, "What do they mean and why am I receiving them?" Rolling over and attempting to return to sleep became futile because the words were burning in my brain. Instead of finding my bible I decided to look the verse up on the computer. This turned into a study session which began with these words, For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.
Finally after posting the verse to my Facebook page for comments the frequency of the repetation of the words in my mind subsided. I understand what they mean now but this morning I was not so sure.
I have struggled many years with judging others harshly for what I perceive as hypocritical acts when in reality, I am the hypocrite.
